What Living Room Color Should I Choose?
It's time to do the living room. I don't know whether to continue with a similar color scheme or change it up. I'm leaning towards SW Pavilion Beige or maybe something more towards a green like Independent Gold. But I wonder if that might be too much the same. Here's the sad state of affairs now.
And here is what I've done with my kitchen and bath.
Should I move away from the golds? And, if so, then what?

5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoI should mention that I'm going to be selling the house. My wife has passed and I need the money for my 3 year adventure in Europe. That photo is a few years old. We were happy to have a place to sit. But, I agree, it was hideous, lol. I've picked up some better furniture at Habitat for Humanity.
The art is near the ceiling because that's what you see when you come down the stairs or up from the family room. Its kind of a focal point. And I like it from the angle below. The image of God reaching down and Adam reaching up seemed to tie in with the two stairways of the split level ranch.
But, again, I'm painting to sell the place now. So, now, I'm just thinking about tying the living room paint colors into the existing color scheme.
So that's one vote for changing colors. Do you have a particular shade of green in mind?

It's a stainmaster with some sort of fancy warranty (I forget what it was called), but it was not a special order or anything, just off the roll from the carpet place since we needed it in a hurry. Comments (14)I don't believe that's enough light. You need ambient, task and accent lighting, and you only have two of the three, and they sound/look to be inadequate. Paint is the last item chosen in a decor scheme. It must work with the fabrics and textiles which are set in stone. Paint color can be custom blended to work with those. Since your sofas are neutral, what other colors will you use in your space? Once you narrow down your choices, order big peel and stick samples from samplize.com so you can move them around to all walls, in all light/weather conditions to be sure of what you'll see once you've painted....See MoreMarq Goldberg
