A daylilies 2019
Yeah, the alphabet begins! I will be trying to add a smile to your day with some fun quotes. Today’s quote, “Singing in the shower is all fun and games until you get shampoo in your mouth, then it just becomes a soap opera.”
Anzac is an oldie that blooms fairly early here, it’s growing in 90% percent shade and blooms well, never any problems with this one.
Autumn Red, another oldie that doesn’t fade in the sun. This clump has been untouched for at least 20 years and still blooming like crazy. It’s getting infested with grass so it’s got get cleaned up and divided or sprayed with grass killer this spring.
Autumn Minaret a late blooming, tall, bloom machine. It pumps out anywhere from 500 to 800 blooms a season depending on the weather, mine get no extra water.
I added two more A’s This past season, hope I get some blooms from them this spring. If anyone is interested in a piece of Autumn Minaret, I will be digging and dividing one of my clumps this season. I do know it doesn’t set seeds. Send me a note.

ALIENS IN THE GARDEN: First year in the garden. Just startling to show the pattern in the throat. Will have to see what it does this summer.
AMBER SPYGLASS: One of the few Lambertson intros that does well for me. Pod and pollen fertile
ASHWOOD SUMMER SUNSHINE: Very nice plant. A consistent performer with blooms looking like this day after day.

AARON BROWN: Received this past spring. Too new to evaluate. I love the color.
ABSOLUTE TREASURE: Wonderful plant and bloom. It is slow to increase.
ADA MAY MUSICK: Another Lambertson that does well. Gorgeous bloom and consistent in zone 5.

Siloam daylilies 2019
Comments (15)Here are the Siloams that I grow: SILOAM APPLE BLOSSOM: A very nice little one. Front of the border plant. SILOAM MELVIN'S YELLOW: An outstanding Siloam. One of the first to bloom and it is larger than most of Pauline's intros. SILOAM PAUL WATTS: This is a very nice red for the mid to late season. It tends to bloom just above the foliage. I wish it was a little taller. SILOAM RALPH HENRY: This is a tempermental plant. It does not like to be disturbed. Comments (34)Lilykate , both of those are just lovely! I had not heard of either one so now I have to go look them up and hope that they are at least SEV's cuz I sure would love them in my gardens . EV's dont seem to do well at all here . I do have a few but have lost more than I care to count . Conditions here are quite severe weather wise with extended droughts in the summer and fall ....drying winds ALL the time from the farmer's open fields ....summer and winter ....little to no snow cover and lots of rain in the winter that then freezes when the polar vortex hits ........it is tough being a daylily here and couple that with the extremely heavy blue clay ........and I am always astonished that anything grows around here . Comments (17)Houzz wouldn't let me post pictures yesterday so I'll try today. Yauhannah Lake is an excellent pink. Yikes Spikes is a southern bred daylily and we don't know how hardy it will be. This is how You Angel You normally looks in our garden. Sometimes it is a more full double. You Angel You fully doubled. Yuma is a parent of the famous Forestlake Ragamuffin. Comments (35)Signet, I have Christmas Is in another part of the garden. This is not that one although similar. Reds are like yellow-so many thousands out there and so many look alikes. I am sure that invoice is somewhere because I bought this one about 6-7 years ago. It was not a newer expensive lily but when one visits a daylily garden, there are some that just scream at you across the garden. This was one such clump-people were racing across the garden to look at it. I remember hearing a speaker at a garden function years ago talk about his Daylilies. He said he spent thousands of dollars on the newest and fluffliest and rufflilied (his words!) daylilies and every garden visit the most oohed and ahhhhed over lily was the old Sallie Farley! AIN'T SHE NICE: Beautiful shade of pink.
ALCHEMIST: Late bloomer. Proliferations on each scape. I usually sell out of it and only keep the prolifs. Clumps up quickly.
ALL THINGS TO ALL MEN: Tends to spot early in the bloom cycle, but then it clears and looks like this for the remainder of the season.

5 years agoANGEL RODGERS: Blooms mid late season. Consistent performer.
APRIL LAQUINTA: I had this one on my list to leave the garden as it has been an under performer, but ir decided to finally bloom in October. It saved itself for now.
ARROGANT BASTARD: Probably my favorite plant over the past two years in spite of its name. This plant is a fantastic performer. Pod and pollen fertile. Wonderful branching, high bud count, will have the occasional proliferation.
ASHWOOD RINGS OF SATURN: Unusual bloom. I need to put it in a better location to really evaluate its performance.

Articulate Matrix has lovely flowers.
Aaron's Little Whopper is a miniature.
Abilene Lillian had an "off" year in 2018.
Adamas was new to the garden.
I don't usually go in for doubles, especially selfed ones but Adopt Me was lovely. It was just planted the summer before and it has grown like crazy.
America Discovers Columbus does well in our garden like all of Richard Norris's daylilies.
August Wedding has been a so-so performer for us.

I wish Autumn Minaret was a different color-I'd love to have one that blooms so much! Debra, I love A Little Fire Scarecrow; Debra & Celeste, great color on All My Love to You. Nancy, America Discovers Columbus is great color and form, though both of yours look so different.
