Sconces or flushmount light in powder room?
Comments (5)I prefer sconce lighting in a powder room. Because it's such a small room, it's a good opportunity to use some unique/funky/different fixtures. THe only benefit I can think of is the light can be more flattering coming softly from the sides (note: low watt bulbs) instead of overhead....See MoreSconce? Comments (24)Coming back to this after the holidays. We still don't have the sconce up or a mirror. What should come first?? Turns out if I return the sconce we will be out around $90-100 which is annoying but not as bad as $500. I still haven't seen it in person since the contractor ordered it and he has been MIA since 12/24. However, I contacted the showroom directly where it was purchased and the in house designer suggested trying to hang the sconce upside down as long as the shades down fall out. What do you think? Sounds like I would be settling - no? I am also leaning toward a simple clean rectangular beveled mirror or a very simple pivot mirror. What are your thoughts between the 2? Thanks again!...See MoreLights & Mirror for Powder Room
Comments (2)I would use polished nickel sconces as well. I have a gold leaf mirror over my MRB vanity, and have polished nickel faucets - this is what I did and it looks very nice. I was very conflicted and then I realized that polished nickel is very similar to silver and no one gives a thought about using a gold gilt mirror over a sideboard in a DR that has tons of silver in it! I was right!...See MoreDANIELLE Interior Design & Decor
