HELP! Master Bedroom Window Treatments
Comments (8)We have a master with a lake view and although it might be a bit more than your budget, we have a blackout cellular cordless shade with motorized lift. It goes across a window similar in span to the three panes on the left side of your photo. It has a remote control and it is a fun thing for us to press a button to behold the morning view from the bed before getting up. We have non-motorized cellular shades on our smaller windows....See MoreMaster Bedroom Help, Awkward Window
Comments (5)move the bed to the left (in the photo), and get a wall treatment that extends past each side of the bed. hang the curtain so it makes the window look larger than it is, and centered over the bed. Then for staging it'll look symmetric, and for the rest of the time, you can open/tie back the curtain and enjoy the natural light. A grey shantung or similar curtain would probably work well with your décor....See MoreI need help selecting a window treatment for our master bedroom
Comments (31)Olivia- answering your question-I guess what you had originally is what I like. Navy curtains straight down. Skip the valance, would be great if you got rid of those wood blinds, but I understand if its a no go zone. Can I suggest room darkening curtains, they work well with blocking sunlight in the mornings. I did this in my room, just to avoid the whole blind thing and when I open the curtains the full window is exposed and lets in all the light. Agree with doods- longer rod, fuller curtains ( wider in size ). I have had 2 curtain panels stitched together to make a wider curtain before.. Not too high curtain rod setting either. Maybe a little puddling on floor to give it that romantic feel. Navy curtains I like, nice contrast against the lighter wall. Is that gold ( yellow ) in that artwork? ..so maybe add some gold accent in the room, either in throw blanket or throw pillow. Good luck!...See MoreHelp with bungalow master bedroom - Window off center behind bed
Comments (20)In my very humble opinion... I would suggest painting the Ceiling the same color as your surrounding walls, by doing this it will taKe away from all the angles and not drawing more attention to that ceiling... I would paint that wall and get some drapes in the same color, ( you don’t want to add more to make it stand out) add two pendant lights above each night Stand, you need all the space on those night stands and the lamps are taking up valuable real estate. Like this... don’t. Mind my rough drawing......See MoreLori
