Don't like my exterior stucco color, need help selecting a color.
Comments (3)When you say the entire front entry way -- do you mean the entire vertical column to the roof -- or just the lower portion with the arch up to the horizontal break line? Either way -- I would go lighter (just the opposite of your idea - sorry). Just like the windows are trimmed in white drawing you to notice them -- I would lighten the entrance area. Alternatively, consider an Exterior Glaze tinted with a slightly Darker Grey (or any color for that matter). This can be applied evenly ... or applied evenly and then brushed over with a clean push-broom (no kidding). The Darker Grey (or accent color) will settle in your stucco pattern but the under Grey color will still show thru making your entrance a subtle difference from everything else but tied together. Long and involved idea (sorry) but I've done this stucco application many, many times with fabulous results (for large interior areas). The technique is exactly the same for Exteriors and you can research it for more details. Good luck....See MoreHELP HELp!!!! I need help selecting paint color
Comments (2)Pick out colors or whites like you want. Paint on poster board, or buy the peel and stick color patches and put on poster board. Leave a white border all the way around the poster board, so it doesnt clash with the color you have now. Since you want the whole house the same color, then pick a color that goes in your kitchen with your cabinets etc first. Then try it in the rest of the house. The color in there now, does not go with your cabinets. It has way too much yellow in it. I would look for colors that have no yellow hues....See Moreold stone house - need help w color selections for siding and trim
Comments (11)What’s behind door number 1? Sorry, couldn’t help it. Lovely house, it only feels stark because there are no foundation plantings. I’d pull a color out of the stone or grout and use that. And why go to all the expense of replacing siding that does not need replacing? Siding takes paint well. I need to go back and look at the front porch, but you can use some color on the front porch (seating, rug, planters, etc) and then use one of the porch colors on the side doors....See MoreNeed help selecting wall color (from SW) for white/blue kitchen
