Which color/style rug for tv room?
Comments (7)LOL, so pretty much everyone likes something different! Well, two votes for #1 (blue) and DH likes the blue one as well. Of course, that's the most expensive one . . . Snookums2, the picture doesn't really capture the wall color exactly. My mockup color is from the swatch and really does reflect the color accurately. I really like the the contemporary rug very much, but I think I'm drawn more to the colors than the design/style. As far as the table goes, I like the idea of a dark orange but what about a grayish green?...See MoreWhat size rug for our family/TV room?
Comments (8)Again, agree. As I look at your photos, I have to wonder about rug fit. Your LR looks narrow because the hearth is in the room. So to make that dimension fit a store-bought rug, you might not get the length to cover the room more fully. It might be a good idea to put your room dimensions to paper, and then see how a rug would fit. An alternative is to buy a piece of carpet and have it bound. There is so much to choose from these days, and if you luck into a remnant you like, it is very economical. What room is next to the LR? You can also lay an area rug there. Two complementary rugs would be fine. And about tripping -- the rugs should be sturdy and substantial (with padding)....See MoreWhat can I put on the walls or next to the tv?
Comments (15)I’m thinking the TV needs to be mounted about 6-8” below the window with a lower side to side 12 to 18” floating shelf or very wide simple sofa table of some sort that can have baskets or odd-shaped containers below. Plants or artwork reaching up along the sides of the TV...something to give the TV a wider framing as it’s a bit small. For drapes if you must have them, I’d do floor to ceiling subtle colored to disappear into the wall. If glare is a problem, maybe inside window pull downs....See MoreWall mount tv. Comments (3)Can you share photos showing more of the space? Would be good to see upholstery, window treatments, etc., to get a feel for the overall style and colors in the room. Do you want a stained cabinet or would you consider one that's painted?...See Moreeverdebz
