Flower drop probable causes: 1. Day temp too high >95F 2. Night temp too low 85F 3. Too much nitrogen fertilizer 4. Too much water 5. Low light levels (reduces fertility). 6. Very low humidity (reduces fertility) 7. Poor air circulation (air circulation contributes to pollination). 8. Lack of pollinating insects. 9. Size of pot Too much mineral in feedwater. Too much grower attention/anxiety.

i use soapy dish water for pests. in a spray bottle. gets rid of aphids.. recently had some stink bugs, but noticed they were eating the aphids, so i left them be and now the aphids are nowhere to be found, and the stink bugs have left. small bee's and these fly like bee bugs seem to have found them, and frequent the flowers. every day, their small like a skinny fly, but green. never seen them b4. I had heavy flower drop early on, but i was told reapers will initially drop the first flowers. now i never had actual forming peppers drop, just the flower would turn yellow, mostly the stem, the flower stayed white, then you touch it, and it would fall. i started touching flowers daily, to help them pollinate, even those these are outside. i use two sets of nutes. pure blend pro and fox farms open sesame. i found the high nitro content of pbp caused this to happen, but the plant would put out a bunch of vegetative growth after 3 days from feeding.. my reapers are a solid 4 feet tall and stems are strong in only 5 gallon buckets. if i did a light dose of the ff os... i had more flowers pop up.. this stuff has more p and much less n, which was my problem i feel after experimenting, i've never grown peppers prior to this season. lighting water temps all being the same, switching nutes showed drastic differences. high nitrogen levels help them grow, but phosphorus and potassium helped them flower very well. my reapers and Caribbean reds are all very happy. they usually get morning sun, then they miss the heavy heat of the mid afternoon, then get evening sun. i try to not let them wilt, wilting seems to have slowed their growth.. they will be moving late sept. into an indoor tent under artificial lighting tho. plan to run them year round. heres a recent harvest of some reapers. the far left is a Caribbean red, its not a reaper. those seeds are from the Caribbean as well. i was just lazy with moving them. i've started keeping seeds and peppers on wax paper, then moving them to vacuum glass containers and putting them in the freezer. i had some reapers on a scale, but lost the shots, ranged from 9 to 27 grams. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwerUQU1vOu8RjBWTk1NZG1pWlU/view https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwerUQU1vOu8WXc0d1cyaktxLVU/view?usp=sharing best of luck keep trying!

Molly, that very well may be a Reaper. I grew them last year and got only 3 tiny little fingernail sized peppers, none had seeds in them. I tried to grow them in a pot, maybe that was the problem. This year I have a single Carolina Reaper in my garden. It's been an amazing year for peppers here, and this is what the Reapers look like that I harvested this year, a big difference: They do have a rather distinctive shape, so maybe the tiny ones are shaped kind of like this?
