Comments (6)I think a non stone would work better with your granite. It has a pattern/movement to it and would work better with a non-patterned tile. Both stone tiles you show have a pattern to them, although subtle. If you want more modern look, then try a light or dark gray tile to coordinate with the granite and hardware. The beiges are more country to me. You could even try a glass tile if you want it to be more contemporary. BTW - the minsk is seriously pretty!...See More90 something & finished, need backsplash advice-PICS
Comments (59)Teppy, In my gut I know that I will not do as good a job as you did if I try to paint on my own. You have excellent taste and are very meticulous. Me....not so much. I do have a laundry room I can experiment with if I need to. I am definitely going to get a quote from a painting company, think I found one, that paints woodwork, cabinet and such. They do a lot of work for builders and had excellent pictures online. I have to get an exterior quote as well. When I get closer to actually beginning I'll post before pictures. I tried previously but couldn't figure it out. Maybe I'll take a look again this weekend. Yes, there is enough room for walking if the seating is added. It would be so nice for entertaining, cooking with the kids, kids doing homework etc. We have an eating nook that accomodates only a 48" round table comfortablly so the extra space would be nice plus it's just more social. I want to compare the painting cost vs. refacing. I'm actually hoping it's not that different because then the KD w/the refacing company could be the GC for the whole job whereas if we go the painting route I'll have find a GC on my own. Will defenitely try to figure out the picture deal so I can post. Thanks for the responses. Z....See MoreHey guys and gals need backsplash advice.
Comments (25)This is a decorator/design forum not an investing forum. As an investor wanting to sell the house quickly at a good price I'd say you've already put a lot of money into the kitchen with new appliances and cabinets so take the last step to finish the kitchen so that it helps potential buyers get over the hurdle from liking the house to putting in an offer. You want the house to appeal to many buyers. If they see something unfinished they may wonder where else you cut corners on the flip. Someone will always have a different personal opinion about design. A classic subway in a cloud white (not cream) would be fine and I'd guess you could find something like that at box stores for $1-2 per square foot. It would be best to put it up all the way to the base of the upper cabinets but even if you just ran it to bottom of the window sill it would finish the kitchen off and make the kitchen a showcase of the house....See MoreNeed Backsplash Advice
Comments (7)How about some type of mother of pearl backsplash? Maybe something with a tic of purple? Purple looks very pretty with terra-cotta. Or, just something beachy with some terra-cotta....See MoreRelated Professionals
