Yea it is confusing with the rendering. Sorry about that! The rendering is simply for house design reference. I notated what material is on what part of the house for help in what color should be put where. I’ve read that you’re supposed to use the same color on the same materials. Not sure if that rule is one to follow or not.

Ranch house. Florida. Older established neighborhood but many houses have been re painted and remodeled with younger family’s that have moved in. Brownish roof. Need color advice from Behr paint. Entry decor ideas would be appreciated.

I think you should use colors that work with the stone on your front porch. I changed the stucco color to a warm orange-beige. In the Aura collection that would be something like Dulce de Leche or French Maccaroon. Use a deeper color on the trim for more contrast. Perhaps Studio Clay or Cattail or Castle Gate. I like your home with the exception of the uninteresting flat "warehouse" side. Once you get everything painted I think you should put something on the wall beneath the tall, narrow windows. Maybe a trellis with a tall growing vine, or an espaliered tree like below.

Hi T Lee, I love your house! I don't think you need a lighter color, but I think the issue with the Mindful Gray is that your roof and stonework make it look greenish, at least on my computer screen. You might try a more neutral gray, such as SW Gray Screen; if you have a sample of your stone, you could bring it to the paint store and choose what looks best with it. In any case, be sure to paint a big sample on your house before you decide. I think all black works well for your door and sidelights, white would just be an unnecessary distraction. (You may also need to tweek the undertones of your white trim - ask in the paint store which white goes best with the gray that you select. Good luck, this is a problem that it would be fun to have!
