My client has 2 large, high-end leather sofas in her condo - and the design is so uncomfortable she never sits on them. The sloped arms give you nothing to snuggle up to, and the seat is quite deep. Doesn't help that she is short and her husband is very tall, and he doesn't want cushions...

I'm thinking the minimum is a largish lumbar- or bolster-type cushion of sufficient size to look like it belongs to the sofa, along the arms, in a deep teal mohair velvet; and possibly a square with some texture in each corner.

Left to my own devices I'd use probably put 3 cushions on each side, which would risk making this so-called 3-seater into a love seat!

As a smallish person, I know cushions are often necessary, but choosing them is definitely not my forte! Advice on sizes and shapes?
