Toro 20065 from dealer or 20087 from home depot
Comments (3)These may very well be the same mower. Toro does not list the 20087 model on their website, but Home Depot does. Specifications appear to be identical, as is the suggested price for both, $319.00. Unles Home Depot has a sale, or the retail price is lower than the online price, I would go with the dealer to get better service. In your case, maybe I would go with whoever is the closest....See MoreZoysia Sod Scalped by Mower
Comments (4)Yeah, I figured it would very slowly come back. In March HD, Pike and Lowe's sold sod by the piece. Now they sell it by the 4 pallet min. except for Pike which does not sell Empire sod. I'm not a fan of Zoysia, cause it goes brown in the winter but with this Empire Zoysia I don't have to mow and water it as frequently as my old turf Fescue lawn....See Morehow to tell a dwarf white pine from standard?
Comments (26)Oooo, that's good to hear! I am hoping it is not a dwarf. I just never know about the Home Depot plants. I once bought a "hardy hibiscus" (as the label said) which turned out to be a tropical variety which died after summer was over. :( Anyway, sorry for the ratty pic.. I wasn't able to get out to the tree that day so just took a quick pic out the window (the blur is from the screen). But I will try to get a good close-up soon with needle count, etc. If this is a Pinus Strobus, aren't they supposed to grow a couple feet a year? This little guy was about 3.5 ft when planted in September and it has grown maybe 4-5 inches. It actually looks good compared to when I bought it! It was a clearance sale and I felt sorry for it (heehee) because it had some brown needles and was so small. You wouldn't believe the so-called rootball! When we went to put it in the ground, it literally fell apart in the burlap, there was no ball! -- just bare roots sticking out in loose soil! So we staked it, and amazingly it has held up to some pretty heavy winds and snow here! So I think it will make it. It does look lonely now, but hopefully will become a nice specimen. Knowing how large these get, I wanted to give it lots of room. It is in our front yard (to eventually block a new home that just popped up across the road). But we will be adding more conifers nearby it this spring to keep it company! ;) Do you really think they sheared it? How can you tell? And if so, will this affect it's growth at all? I want to keep it nice and full if possible, so is there some shearing/pruning that I should do to it?...See MoreWhat are these?
Comments (7)there is a houseplant forum ... where i am sure you can get all kinds of guidance.. should you wish it ... i would start by tipping them out of the pots..and looking at the roots.. and determine if it might not be a great time to repot them ... they are all hyper-fertilized... meaning they will outgrow those small pots .... and it might be a great time to do that.. before the roots turn into a choked up mess .... ken...See Moregeoforce
