Question for wolf cooktop owners
Comments (5)I don't think there is any similarity between the cooktop and range burners, is there? I'm quite sure that mine are sealed burners and not unsealed pretending to be sealed or vice versa. I won't say that there is anything not good about the burner design just yet. The burners are generally fine, the flame is very *crisp* for lack of a better word, very responsive etc. and I love the high and the low it produces, very very much. It is just that sometimes it sings. Also, about the draft-induced extinction (actually, I don't know if the flame actually does go out or if the sensor thinks it did)....See MoreThermador gas v. Wolf gas + induction; CombiSteam v. speed; DW?
Comments (12)A bench top microwave plus a combi steam oven suggestion sounds very good. I have the same set up, with a microwave being placed in a wall cupboard space on top of a steam combi oven. Since I have got steam combi oven installed, most food have been reheated in it, much nicer results compared with microwave which is just used to heat a cup of drink hear and there. Induction plus gas is also a very good solution. I have 15" dominos, two gases, and one bridgeable induction. I decided on two gas units because of round bottom wok cooking and never used an induction before. Now that I have been using induction for a while, I may have chosen two induction units instead if I have to decide again today. Bridge able induction unit is quite versatile. You can have two small to medium pots and pans on it, or one large pot or pan, even a cast iron griddle when used in bridge mode. With a wok ring adapter for induction hob, it even does wok cooking well enough. My dominos are installed with about 2-3" space between them, so that big pots and pans can go on them at the same time. This might be a consideration how you would like to place an induction unit next to a gas....See MoreWolf Induction Cooktop vs. Wolf Gas Cooktop??
Comments (26)I saw the newest Wolf induction cooktop and I was impressed with its versatility. Specifically, I am speaking of model CI365T/S. I really like the burner layout with the four burners that can be bridged on one side and a larger oval burner on the other side. It offers what seems to be the most flexible layout. There are other induction cooktops with "flexible" zones but they are in a layout that is less versatile, most commonly with a large round hob in the center and the flexible zones on either side. My building does not have gas so when I upgrade, I will be looking at induction. As of now, I think the Wolf is my favorite but I am a year or two out and something new may change my thinking....See MoreFeedback on Wolf Contemporary Gas Cooktop?
Comments (0)We are remodeling our kitchen and will be placing the cooktop in an island. We were planning on using the Wolf Induction but just saw their new contemporary 36" gas cooktop that mounts flush with the countertop. Does anyone have experience with this product? Pros? Cons?...See MoreMilo Pompeii
