Thanks, Michoumonster. I did consider Cambria Torquay, as I have seen online photos of installations where I thought it looked really nice. When I finally got to see a 12x12 sample at a local showroom, I was underwhelmed. It had more tan than gray streaks, and the pattern was very pale. It may have just been that sample, but I would have to drive 2 hours to see a big slab. I would love to find a white quartz with the bold gray streaks that I love in marble. As an aside, I was really impressed with the Cambria Praa Sands. It looks like a beautiful granite, but sadly does not have the more clean, modern look I am trying to achieve IMO.

I was the one who started the Fieldstone thread, unfortunately, I have not heard from anyone who has used it. I really wanted to see photos. Finally, I am going to see a slab of it next week at the yard, I can post some if you want! I think we might end up with Steel Gray Granite, but boy oh boy, I do also love that Raven. Those were the three contenders. We are doing Caesarstone's Concrete in the powder room; but don't have photos of that either. The key with greys, it seems, is weather you want 'solid gray' or 'movement' in your gray! Good Luck...POST PHOTOS IF YOU FIND THEM OF FIELDSTONE!

I'm a little late to this thread, but we recently had installed the "Cement" color neolth countertop. We wanted a bullet-proof light gray counter with a bit of uniqueness. I was so happy to find this product, but nervous since it was hard to find references. Of course it is a matter of personal preference, but we really love the material. It does have a matte finish and a leathery feel (maybe similar to honed). We did not bevel the edges, so it is just (edit 12mm) 12cm on edge, which gives it a unique look. It contrasts to our shiny smooth kitchen island which is a (edit 3cm) 2.5cm wicked white quartzite (we like the contrast). I am so pleased with the look and performance. I like being able to put the scalding pans right from the stovetop to the counter. In a pinch I cut vegetables directly on the counter, but don't want to damage my knives so I don't do it often. We don't worry about oil or lemons or anything staining it. It cleans up very easy. We will see how it stands the test of time (2 months now), but so far it was the right choice for us. Interesting! I was thinking something along the lines of the attached photo here. A warm floor, cool counter, with the walls and cabinets 'keeping out of the way' if you know what I mean. I have seen grey cabinets but the kitchen is directly visible from the living room which has a huge grey floor, so I don't want a visual running line of grey all the way from one room to the other. I do like white. It's neutral. Nobody ever complains about white when you try to sell (which I may later on). But I hear what you say - thanks! The pebble seems to be a honed surface and has the 'splotches' which I'm trying to avoid. Perhaps those Linen, Haze or Seattle Sky colours may work somehow...I really wanted a grey in between those and the darker Urban and Oyster colours.
