If you hired a professional painter, I would let them do their job, your neighbor did not and look what happened.

Going very dark on your siding will eliminate a portion of the buyer pool for your home. Since you are selling the house and painting it to sell, consider a lighter color preferably not in the blue family. Buyers have a very strong reaction to blue: they love it or hate it IME. I'm a Realtor so I see this divide with strong colors in my area. A good agent in your area can tell you what colors work for resale too. Depending upon the final color you select, the yellow doors would be fabulous. Here are a couple of combos for your consideration with different front door colors: ^Yellow siding and navy front door with white trim including sidelites. ^Blue with yellow door. You can see that this is beautiful, but would eliminate some buyers right from the beginning. ^Very neutral siding.

10 months later, and I realized I never updated! The room is basically finished, we are just looking for some beautiful sconces for either side of the main window. We ended up painting the walls Shelburne buff from the Historic collection! I don't entirely remember how we ended up choosing it, but I think it works well. We also painted the trim two different shades to remove some of the starkness between the wall color and the white woodwork. The crown, baseboard and doors are done with a 50/50 mixture of Shelburne buff and Navajo white and the curved moldings around the windows and niche are 75/25 mix of the same. We ended up using the same rug, but gave up on the curtain fabric and were able to reuse some curtains we had in our old home. They were recut, a valance was made and new trim was added. They show up a little pink in the pictures, but in real life they are nearly the same color as the wall. I think it all came out pretty good! Thank you all for your help!!

That is going to quickly show a lot of wear and tear. I would do a color similar to the background in your epoxy and the treads. Paint it all the same color in semi-gloss for easy cleaning.
