Area rug size and furniture placement
Comments (29)I like the new arrangement. It might help to tape out a space for the area rug and measure. It's nice to have the rug go about 1/3 the way under the furniture. An 8x10 may work. Can you post a close up of the fabric on the chair?...See MoreFurniture placement for entry/formal living and dining room
Comments (6)Near the entry door I like to have a bench to sit on when putting on/taking off shoes. Also a console table with mirror above it. So think of creating three zones - entry zone, sitting area, and dining area, while leaving at least 36” of walkway along the side of the room. Comments (7)Near the patio door, I'd put a nice sized console/buffet on that wall. This can hold anything you need to carry from the kitchen to the patio. Put your TV on that large wall with the sofa facing it. The dining table would go near the window that is close to the kitchen....See MoreHelp with furniture placement for living/dining room

Having the same color sofa as the drapes and walls just feels blah to me, but a patterned rug would really perk up the room....See MoreChristine Harrison Fine Art and Mosaics
