Gold kitchen hardware with chrome faucet?

I really like the looks of gold hardware. But I’m afraid jf I did a gold faucet as well it would be too much. Will a chrome faucet work?

My cabinets are Kraftmaid kaffe maple (Lowers and fridge/pantry side) and canvas maple uppers.

Haven‘t decided on countertops yet...another hard dilema.

That's how we did ours and I think it looks great (altho I admit to bias). However, if I could do it again, I'd do brushed stainless for the faucet as it is warmer and works better with the gold/warm tones of the cab hardware.

I am really liking the gold colored hardware, and have been trying to figure out what I will do when the time comes for me to actually ACT.

In my last house, I had a stainless faucet (which I loved but honestly I would entertain chrome next time around-)----and oil rubbed bronze cabinet hardware as well as lighting and I thought it looked great.

I would not hesitate to do chrome with gold. To me the faucet is more of a fixture, and again, depending on what kind of sink you have, it kind of blends in to the sink.

We had planned to get our ceiling fan in the satin nickel finish, as we had chosen all SS appliances, and SN hardware, and felt that a SN finish would be a better match. We had fallen in love with the fan on display, in chrome. It looked so pretty in chrome, and the SN finish on the sample chip (a nice sized sample square) didn't look nearly as nice (dull, with brownish undertones), so we got the fan in chrome. It's a nice shiny touch of "bling" and it doesn't look of of place (with the other finishes) at all. We also ended up choosing counter stools with chrome legs, and they look good with the other finishes as well.

Chrome or SS faucet to go with polished nickel hardware?

I am not sure why you can't have a polished nickel single-handle gooseneck faucet. There are a number of manufacturers who make them. Just off the top of my head, without researching, I can think of Rohl, Hansgrohe, Kohler (particularly the Kohler Vinnata), and my favorite, Newport Brass. But there are others. Just do a search on various websites like faucets.com or homeclick.com. Here's a link to the Newport Brass single-handle pull-down kitchen faucet #94P in polished nickel. I really like their products. Though pricey, it's high-quality, and their finishes are top-notch. Sometimes Newport Brass has a long lead time though, but not always. But there are several other manufacturers who make polished nickel faucets. BTW, since you said you're not sure the difference bet. a pull-out and a pull-down, they are as follows: it's pretty much explained by their names. A pull-down faucet points straight down; many people feel they are more ergonomic to use. Some gooseneck pull-downs are very tall; you need to make sure you have the height clearance for them. I myself have a pull-out (the Grohe Ladylux Plus) which, well, pulls out instead of down. I don't find my pull-out to be un-ergonomic at all, and I like that it reaches across more towards the middle in my sink, rather than pointing down and closer to the edge. But that's just my taste. I like mixing up metals. Visually more interesting. I have a display in my front window that has RUST hardware on the light alder cabinets, stainless steel range and a chrome pot filler. No one ever notices this until I point it out. If everything was SS/satin nickel look, it would not look as nice, IMO. I also did a kitchen, satin nickel hardware, white appliances and ORB lighting. It looks amazing too!

I always suggest folks get samples of everything and put the m all next to each other and see what it looks like in the different light of the day so you can make sure your tones are just right! There are a lot of different white tiles, make sure to get everything in the right tones. You will see it once you put them next to eachother.

i have a stainless faucet and brass hardware. I feel like it works because I also have stainless appliances so both finishes have a presence.

AGGGHHHHH!!!!! When the heck did polished brass become "gold"? This drives me CRAZY. I have lived through true "gold faucets" - typically in bathrooms and typically VERY expensive from Sherle Wagner. They were 24kt gold plated and often featured swans as faucets for vanities and tubs. VERY OTT!

I would not use polished brass with polished chrome as the chrome is so cold looking. What does work is polished or brushed nickel faucets with polished brass pulls. That is what I have in my own kitchen.
