Crema Marfil Lookalike Mosaic
Comments (5)I have the actual Crema Marfil tumbled marble tiles on my kitchen backsplash. I got them at Interceramic Tile and seem to remember some ceramic tiles that looked very similar. It's been a year now and I can't remember names, etc. Do you have one of their showrooms nearby? You might call one and ask them. They were very knowledgeable and helpful when I worked with them last year at this time. Good luck! Lynn...See MoreHELP Subway tile shower, marble hex floor but what for shower floor?
Comments (2)hello Jillianfl. Top photo is the one I used to remodle my last bathroom. I loved it and got lots of compliments on it. I'm now renovating a new home, and I have the same concerns about the shower flooring. Did you end up getting some advice? What did you end up going with? Thanks in advance!...See Moremarble hex tiles in shower/bath floor - slippery?
Comments (3)I have basketweave tiles in my bathroom - floor and shower floor as they are NOT slippery at all because of the grout. I love my floors :-). I absolutely didn't want anything slippery when I remodeled as I had 12" x 12" vinyl tiles in my pre-remodel bathroom and any bit of damp made them slippery. I rented an apartment during my remodel and the shower had 12" x 12" marble tiles in the shower and on the bathroom floor. I considered that to be the bathroom of death because it was so slippery that I was afraid to move my feet while showering and had to make sure I never touched the surface of the floor after a shower. Since you are rightfully concerned with safety do not neglect GRAB BARS. These need to be installed when you are constructing the bathroom as they have to be attached to the studs for safety so they don't pull out when used. They have styles now that aren't institutional looking - mine are oiled rubbed bronze to match the rest of my fixtures. I really like having that extra bit of security even though the shower floor itself is NOT slippery with the small marble tiles....See MoreDo slate look floor and marble subway tiles in shower go together?
Comments (3)Laura - what did you wind up selecting for your tile? My master bathroom remodel starts this upcoming Thursday. I’ve kinda of been putting it off because I’ve had a difficult time selecting materials (whether to use marble or not has been a big indecision for me). I HAVE to finalize decision this weekend. I’ve purchased marble for walls and 4x12 slate tile for floors (with radiant heat). Just second guessing myself probably and looking for some reassurance (which, unfortunately, it appears that you failed to receive any). Thanks!...See MoreJeff Meeks
