Comments (16)"Some things to think about that my older friends found out. If there are too many calls to 911 in this area there was a charge for each one and that charge was expensive." Don't these devices call the security company, not 911? If so, surely the person on the other end is trained to know what to do and when and what resources are required. A device is hardly worth the additional expense if all it is is a cell phone....See MoreAny recs for mosquito hats?
Comments (18)Hi lovemycorgi, Those nets look nice. I purchased these similar mosquito nets from Amazon (that is a clickable link) because they are extra roomy to accommodate my garden hat that has an extra-wide brim. (I have several garden hats.) But I agree with you, it makes sense to buy a mosquito net that you can use with your existing hats. I have equipped my two bug zappers with mosquito attractants to make a dent in their population. I am killing a lot of mosquitoes, but our rural location is loaded with pools and streams that can serve as mosquito breeding places. So we have a seemingly unending supply of "skeeters". We have several different species of mosquitoes here. I think I have observed all of them on me, at one time or the other. ZM (not associated with any product or vendor mentioned or linked)...See MoreAny recs for vinyl/linoleum tile brands?
Comments (0)Going to be putting down a new floor, and would like something like the classic checkerboard floor look. I've read that glue down tiles are more resilient than peel and stick and a little more forgiving when placing, and I don't mind using the adhesive. Any particular brands or types I should look for? I think vinyl is cheaper and pretty good quality, but not sure how linoleum stacks up. My initial searches brought up a lot of faux wood tiles or LVP which I wasn't going for. Trying to find more square tiles with mostly solid colors. HD and Lowe's have a lot of peel and stick from what I've found. Do I need to go to a flooring or tile shop? Thanks!...See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
