Help with wall paint for blonde floor and wainscoting
Comments (2)Hello, I would like to suggest you to opt for a light shade as creamish brown or pale yellow as it would suit the dark brown dining table very well. Apart from that, you can opt for olive green as you want to, but I don't think it would be a great combination with dark brown. Before opting for anything, try the samples at backyard to have a look on what would it be look like in future. Best of luck and do upload photographs here after painting....See MoreHelp with Color for wainscoting - pics
Comments (6)Try cleaning and staining the wainscoting with a wipe-on stain. http://www.generalfinishes.com/retail-products/oil-base-wood-stains-sealers/oilbase-gel-stains Gel stain: Georgian Cherry, maybe darkened a bit with the Java would give you a rich reddish brown. You can also refresh the stain on a wood floor (provided it's real tongue and groove) by cleaning it well, scuff sanding it and wiping on a penetrating oil stain in a shade between the lightest and darkest tones of the old wood. It fills in many of the nicks and dings and scratches. Then apply some urethane meant for floors and you have a floor that will look far better and postpone a professional re-finishing job for a long time. Comments (10)Hi--- Benjamin Moore's White Dove or Sherwin Williams' Creamy. The room, furniture, and rug are dark, the wall will look great painted a very light cream. If you prefer a darker hue, I suggest you consider changing the rug to something lighter to add contrast in value. Hope this is helpful for you. Comments (2)It is the light bulbs in your under counter lights making the backsplash such a yellow green color. I would like to see the wainscotting same color as the sides of the island, which looks the same color as your cabinets....See MoreLevi Schectman
