Please help me decide on furniture colors
Comments (3)I am not an expert but except for the TV stand, everything seems as tho it is neutral and you could use the colors you prefer. The experts have an order in which you should begin your decor purchases and I'm sure they will help you. You can use color! Artwork, rug, pillows and throws in proper colors will brighten the somewhat dark tendency. Lamps will help. How nice to be able to pretty much start from scratch with accessories and art!...See MorePlease help me decide on a paint color!
Comments (13)Thanks, everybody! I am leaning towards the blue. I don't generally take huge risks in my own personal style, which is why this decision has been so difficult. kmarissa03, there is one window with a transom. It's a big window, but the fact that it's facing east means there won't be a whole lot of natural light, especially in the evenings when we'll be entertaining guests. I will be relying on the chandelier for light, and I think it will cast aplenty. jck910, so glad to hear you're happy with your dark blue! Did you do anything to balance out the color or brighten up your dining room? K Laurence, you are absolutely right, and that's what I keep telling myself. Paint is the easiest, most inexpensive thing to replace, so I'm glad to know I don't have to live with it forever if it doesn't look right in my space. Luscious111, those colors are gorgeous and so beautifully rich! I'd love to see what you decide!...See MorePlease help me decide on cabinet hardware color!!
Comments (15)Actually I am so glad you mentioned color. I ordered white dove and mocha cherry. I got the samples last night. I honestly thought the white looked whiter but then I thought it was the night time lighting and didn't really think about it. When I saw you said yours was oatmeal I looked at it and saw the white dove also which is definitely creamier. Turns out the sample I got is actually essential white (WAY more white like a bright light. I thought maybe I had lost my mind but I knew I had really liked it when I was selecting!!!). Phew. So I really did order white dove, which is a bit whiter than oatmeal but definitely not a bright white. Sorry to derail this. But thank you!!!...See MorePlease help me decide which of these bedroom colors!
Comments (8)My intent was to paint before the flooring is in so I can take advantage of the furniture being out of the room (my husband will not be down for helping me move it all out of the room twice), and also it would just be nice to not have to worry about covering the flooring in order to paint. I considered painting AFTER the flooring is done, before the furniture is moved back into the room, but then I'm starting all over again with paint color options & the pressure to get it all done so our bedroom is functional again. :) I really didn't want to go with white in this room, and the current color is too yellow for my taste, so I've been trying to find a tan-ish color that keeps it neutral but doesn't go yellow. Totally open to paint suggestions & the bedding isn't something that can't be changed. For reference: PO - Pale Oak RP - Revere Pewter AG - Agreeable Gray...See MoreKiwikeeper
