idea for table and chandelier here, etc (pic!!)
Comments (10)no, this is not our dining room per se, more like an extension of the kitchen. we do have a formal dining room already. We actually just need a place in this area that can sit 4-6. We have a really nice round 48" table but it is way too large. and the card table there is way to square and small and has inlaid leather so not good for casual. I think I am definitely leaning to something not deeper than 40" and can run at least 65 ". Just unsure of a style or style of chandelier above...there is already a receptacle on the slanted ceiling centered over bookcase there. Yeah I like the idea of a big chandelier, THANKS! The kitchen just has small drum shade pendants....See MoreHere’s the recipe I use
Comments (5)Saw Louise's post wondering what happened, and decided to check the 'Unanswered' section. Is this 1 of them? FWIW, on my desktop computer, at the top of the list of threads, I see 4 categories of posts listed. I believe a post gets filtered to the 'Unanswered' section after a certain amount of time. And those sections do not show up on my mobile phone's view. Not sure about a tablet, since I don't use one. This is what I see on my desktop:...See MoreWhat kind of chandelier works here?
Comments (2)I also like theses as well. As you can see my style is a little all over the place. I like the first two but I'm not sure they go with the room....See MoreWhat size mirror and sconces should I use here?
Comments (0)Advice needed! This is a secondary bathroom that will get lots of use by my mom, who is in her 80s. The photo is not quite correct-it’s from a software program our architect used. In reality, the vanity will float but have drawers only and extend all the way to the shower glass. The built-in shelves will likely have drawers below and cabinet doors on the uppers. Materials: white oak cabinets with steel grey granite countertops; black slate floors; black and white marble-look tile on the shower walls. Chrome fixtures and hardware. I need advice on three items: Would it be better to make the vanity an inch shallower (currently 20”)and extend it to the wall on the left, and then just put the cabinet on top? What size and style mirror would be best here? For reference, the ceiling is 9’ and the bottom of the window is at 6’9”. Would pendants or sconces be better in this situation? I’m considering the one pictured (11.5”H x 4.75”W) but am not married to it. This is a new build and framing will begin next week. Plumbing cannot move at this point and windows have been ordered....See MoreJamie Ludwig
