Tends to happen when the temps are cool at the time of pollination. Not a disease, and nothing you did. I remove most of my "ugly" catfaced/fused toms when young so the plant can put its energy into producing new fruit or focus its energy on the fruits that aren't jacked up looking.

Thanks - but since she knows the letters were in the safe, she's going to be wondering what happened to the safe. Should I ask my cousin? My great-uncle and his wife didn't have any children, house wasn't locked up since his oldest sister was still living downstairs. My 2 uncles inherited the house, but she had lifetime use. There was a big to-do about the will, my uncle's will said my dad was to get the house, but since his lawyer never had the deed changed, when he died his wife got the house since the deed was recorded jointly, then when she died her will which predated the last one her DH did - lawyer didn't update hers when he updated his - said the other 2 brothers got it, so that's what happened. They sold it to my cousin, and they started renoing the upstairs apt right away, moved in right b4 my other great-aunt moved to nursing home, once she died they started going through her things (my cousin's dad, one of the original heirs, was executor of my great-aunt's estate and did not "read" the will to her heirs nor provide a copy, so we just had to go by what he told us - I got a blanket, my other great-aunt got all the family photos, china, etc. and nobody apparently was named for the furniture so my cousin is using what she wants and getting rid of what she doesn't want). I don't know, since nobody has a copy of her will, whether the letters were mentioned, but since they were in my great-uncle's safe, I don't think his sister had possession of them so would not have named them in her will anyway. She didn't even apparently list her mom's wedding dress, but younger sister remembered big sis telling her a few years ago it was hanging in the closet, so cousin did find that and didn't throw it away, gave it to me when 2nd cousin came, we moved it a mile to my house but it's too fragile to do anything with so it's in bottom of my armoire right now until I can figure out how to preserve it.

I do not have any other than the nine original. A good place to find christmas stocking patterns is 123stitcher.com. They have lots. Can someone help me locate a christmas stocking pattern that would have a police officer on it? I have never seen one, but would love to find out if one exists.
