Comments (2)here’s a pic of what we did in our bathroom if it helps to visualize.. used the 3x9 tiles which we used for shower as our backsplash, then set the mirrors so that bottom of mirror frame rests right on the schluter edge. Hubby is 6’6” and i’m 5’6” and mirrors are perfect for both of our needs as hung...See More8" backsplash in bathrooms - mirrors too high?
Comments (27)"I was leaning towards sheet mirrors for hygienic reasons. It's easier to wipe down a mirror than to clean toothpaste/gunk off of a painted wall or wallpaper. I want wall-mount faucets for the same reason - easier to keep clean than deck-mounted faucets. However I'm not sold on the idea. " Is this a guest bath? I assume it is. I never MET a bath with any regular use, that didn't need a thorough cleaning every single week minimum. As to what's difficult about it ? That depends mobility and energy and commitment. As to kids? They GROW and fast. They don't live with you I assume. I don't ever underestimate the longevity and classic aspect of a bath. They're a pain to redo. Lots of things are fun, even reinventions from the past! I include wall mounted faucets in that genre along with trough sinks! Cute but maybe better in pictures than daily practice. You'll get more help if you show the entire bath layout, and a few inspo pics. Generally? It's not necessary to re invent wheels. You're worrying on whether they can see themselves.......if very young? I'd worry on whether they can reach the taps: )...See MoreBathroom Backsplash
Comments (0)The wall will hold a 60inch vanity along with a toilet in the left corner. I am thinking of doing a backsplash with a beautiful decorative tile that goes behind the vanity mirrors up to the ceiling. Since the toilet is also on the wall what would you recommend I put on the wall in that area? I wouldn’t want a decorative going down to the floor behind the toilet....See Moredo you have to have a backsplash on a bathroom vanity??
Comments (5)How much do you splash? I didn't have one in any house I've owned but this one, (I do in this house in all bathrooms) without particularly ill effects. I have a friend whose husband has destroyed a small area of the drywall behind the vanity in his bathroom because he gets it so wet. It also has soap, toothpaste and mouthwash on the wall all the time. If you are careful, maybe you don't need one. If you are like my friend's husband or someone in your house is, maybe you do....See MoreMy3dogs ME zone 5A
