Comments (1)Wow!! Absolutely beautiful. I love how the door turned out on the window - it actually looks really good. I really like how you've combined the vintage with the modern shower. Looks fabulous....See MoreVintage Bathroom Floor Ideas That Aren't White?
Comments (14)I have a couple samples of 12x12 faux cararra marble, and I think they look pretty good in my vintage house. My husband vetoed marble basketweave, and basically anything that looks busy. So the larger scale marble look is growing on me. It's white, but not uniformly white so I don't think the cleanup issue would be so significant. I love Marmoleum - had it in a previous bath - but I'm hankering for heated floors, so tile is what I'm doing this time....See MoreVintage light for bathroom
Comments (23)One school of thought re old house decor is that you dont have to stick with the era house was built, you can have fun with adding elements from various other periods between date of build to the present. Youd still want them to all work together designwise however. I do like the blue one, yeah it could make you look cadaverous in the mirror but youve got the sconces so maybe not an issue. I might want to adjust the wall color to fit the blue of the light... or maybe not! I kinda like your last pendant with the sconces. Not that they have to be matchy matchy but those 2 kinda relate to ea other - squarish elements, shiny chromy silver....See MoreVintage bathroom flooring- what to do?
Comments (5)I would continue to take up the tile to reveal the condition of the original tile beneath it. If you find that it is damaged, then, of course, you should tile over it or have it removed. If it is in good condition, I would assess it. Is it actual ceramic tile or asbestos tile? If you like it and it is in good shape...keep it. I guess you would need to know if there is some special way to clean or seal it if it is tile made of asbestos. Is it ceramic or a old form of asbestos tile?...See MoreHU-275639869
