Built-In Microwave Cabinet & appropriate size of microwave

I am trying to finalize my kitchen and specifically the built in microwave cabinet.
The cabinet itself is 30” wide, and can either be 18” deep or 21” deep. Photo shown has 18” deep. I like that there’s more head room to use the countertop below comfortably.
Whirlpool has 2 microwaves for me to pick from:
2.2 cubic feet: 24 wide x 12.5 high x 19.75 deep
1.6 cubic feet: 21.75 wide x 13 high x 17.25 deep -

I have never put a 9x13 pan in a microwave, but my sister who is a big cook says the bigger the better, and that I would love the ability put a big glass casserole in to re-heat.

If I go with the 18” cabinet, the smaller microwave may not even fit with the plug (17.25” plus plug), which means I probably have to go with a 21” deep? If this is the case, should I just get the bigger microwave? It just looks so massive in the store.
Thoughts?
