Can you return the fixture? For one thing the fixture is designed to aim the light out to the side so it would look strange if you turned the reflectors inward to aim at the plant if they are even adjustable. A single reflector fixture would probably look better. And as someone else said they are painted black which will absorb a lot of the light. Plus $26 plus any shipping seems kind of expensive to me. In fact looking at most online light bulb and fixture sellers their prices tend to be on the high side, especially if you have to include shipping.

where did you get the picture of them? If you took it in a model, just contact the designer of that model. If you took it out of a magazine, usually they give credits or will post who the designer is. You can then contact them. Good luck! They are gorgeous!

I was in love with a pic of a wooden island with big wheeled feet. I got the same responses you did from the forum and from my contractor. I ended up having my dream island built for me - just without the wheels. I still love it, but I was able to have electrical and didn't lose the extra inches of storage I would have lost with feet. Maybe you could get your island made but without the feet or the feet could just be decorative?
