construction loan question
Comments (15)We got our loan from a small bank in a small town. Our only problem now is we need about 35k more to finish, since our first builder turned out to be a scam and made a mess of our house and took off with lots of money. We're hoping the bank will give us the money to finish. We will be close to finished when the money runs out. The remaining money is to pay the builder and finish up the electrical and heat. I can't handle waiting. We have a claim against the first builder's insurance company for negligence, but I don't have much faith in the justice system anymore, so I don't even consider the possibility of getting any money back. We've had such bad luck in this whole process, I just keep assuming the bank is going to tell us we can't get the money and then I don't want to think about what we'll have to do. We've done a pretty good job of not using credit cards. We've used cash to pay for quite a few things. My broker is just dragging his feet on gettng this appraisal and it's killing me. I met with him in August to set up another appraisal so we wouldn't be in this position of wondering as we're getting to the end of the money, and we still don't have it. So frustrating!!! Thanks for letting me vent....See MoreHey! Check out who's on the upper-right of this BB chart!
Comments (24)Gooooooo CATS!!!! Big blue through and through here. Ought to be interesting as my husband is a Louisville fan. Sweet 16 is here in Indy so we will definitely be at the game. Me in blue, husband in red and our son has decided to rock the blue and white too!! I'm so proud he had the good sense to pick my UK wikdcats. And everyone said the SEC is weak. Yet we're still dancing with our measly three teams. Coach k ought to rethink mocking the sec and lauding the acc as strongest conference in the nation. It was nice to come out on the right side of one of the more memorable tournament games unlike the duke-uk fiasco from years ago. I was in grade school then but every year they show that stupid non defended in bound pass and turn around jumper. It still stings. I worried that the shockers would pull off something similar, but we prevailed. Amazing game! Then the Bison came down on a hot August evening, and rained on their parade....no one gave us much of a chance...Go Bison! Comments (30)Hi Guys! * Yaya- I see the P.A. I saw on Jan 3 on Feb 2 I think. I'll ask about that shot(s)! What types of shots are there for shoulders? B4 my new knee in Sept. '14, I had that $1,000 Synvisc shot that Feb. Didn't really do much, but we knew going in that it was a crapshoot. * Msmeow- OH NO!! Yikes....that sounds painful! I mentioned when my injury happened, I was throwing my arms out to the side to keep from falling. That's when I got shot.........in my shoulder.... ;-) Sure felt like it anyway! My PT guy says he'd like for me to avoid injections, since they'll just mask what's really going on. I know that makes sense, but...... I'll keep doing my shoulder/back exercises, since they'll strengthen/support the whole shoulder mechanism, & its operation. Along those lines, it'll help keep an upright posture. I don't wanna turn into the letter "C" like SO many people do, just cuz they never learned how to (or cared??) do simple exercises!!!!! * Oakley- Yes, keeping the shoulders DOWN AND BACK when moving thru an exercise motion keeps the vulnerable "Cuff" muscles & tendons from hitting the Acromio-Clavicular (AC) Joint just above it. That causes SO many issues/problems. >>> The stronger your back & shoulder-blade muscles are, the better your shoulder can handle a load. So many of us have such weak back muscles, because they're never used!! Ever hear the word "Atrophy"?! SQUEEZE THAT EGG ON YOUR SPINE!! ;-) Faron...See MoreFaron79
