help !! ri blueberry-ish looking plant and fruit
Comments (14)Oh man, I never realized how many similarities to berry bushes there were! I of all people should've remembered to take a flower shot in the spring....sorry about that guys! I do know that they are definately NOT shiny blueberry, Darrow's Blueberry because the leaves are larger, and the berry is off on those two. It's not a Deer Berry because the flowers are different, and Sparkleberry / Farkleberry, the leaves on the are too oval-ish So what I do remember and from your descriptions here I would definately say this plant is from the vaccinium species, not the rose flowered ones. If I remember correctly I believe the leaves turn a reddish color in the fall....See MoreNeed HONEST opinion on turquoise/teal stools
Comments (53)Why don't you try painting one of the chairs you have to see what you like? You could try painting one chair with this coloration in mind. Except do the chair in red and leave the seat color you have. I tried for some visuals here to explain what I meant in a previous post above. I know others have mentioned black or stainless but to me it would just be adding another color to the mix. The picture below is nothing like your kitchen but it does have red stools next to a red island. If the kitchen was like yours and had teal/turquoise accents in the back ground one could get away with a teal seat color weather it be the same as yours or a bit darker. I think you can also get a basic idea on how black or stainless stools would not look right in the mix and could just look cluttered. If you paint one chair as suggested above and like the colors but not the chair there are a few other stool companies who do red. Bago Luma is one off the top of my head (although pricey). They have a few styles besides this plus different seat cover picks but I wanted to show the red. Or, this......See MoreVintage-ish modern-ish kitchen remodel
Comments (45)crcollins - I love your kitchen, and can't wait to see the photos when it is completely finished. I am in the planning stages of a kitchen remodel, and I am very much leaning towards the Formica Aqua Dotscreen for my counters. I just sent away for a sample of this and a few of the other Formica 100th anniversary patterns, as they don't seem to have them in stores. I have searched all over, and there don't seem to be any photos online of the countertop installed. In fact, before I found this post, I came across a post from you on another site where Formica responded that there were no installed photos. If you could please post a photo or two of the installed Aqua Dotscreen countertop, I would be very appreciative! I would be putting it on white cabinets as well. I'm also wondering what type of edge you chose. Thank you!...See MoreGreen kitchen?? (Here you go, Delilah)
Comments (58)I'm sure that's why most of the kitchen pics I've found with green cabinets have white subway tile! Well, I said no subway tile ever in my house, and then I put blue subway tile in my shower, so clearly I'm open to the options. Fortunately, we have several great tile stores near us, so I will have good places to look. As far as budget -- there really isn't a ton of tile needed, so I can go a little crazy. The only backsplash tile is what you can see in the pic I posted above. justterri, funny you mention that. We have a small island that we'll be getting rid of -- I guess it's more of a peninsula because it's against a wall at one short end. We'll be removing the island and putting a "coffee station" on that wall (I think -- granted, these are all just random plans not based on any reality thus far) and we're wondering if we might find a piece of furniture instead. Probably unlikely that we will find something the right size, but we could also have something made. I am in the process of setting up a meeting with a kitchen designer, so for now, all of the above is just fantasy!...See MoreLiz Pyles
