Please help. Dinning room project I can't decide on
Comments (23)Thanks for all the input and design ideas. I am almost sure on the dining chairs from west elm. https://www.westelm.com/products/finley-high-back-dining-chair-h2914/?pkey=ccontract-grade-furniture%7Ccontract-grade-dining-furniture&isx=0.0.2975 I will be going again in morning to checkout the upholstery colors and try them out to make sure they are comfortable. No kids in the house, only adults, so not worried about food on the carpet. I will rethink this rug placement. I also like the idea of plating some evergreens in front of the fence, so i have a nicer view out those windows. I will update everyone tomorrow once i come back from west elm with the final dining chair decision. This table is 108 inches long. I think 8 chairs should look perfect with it. 10 might be pushing it?...See MoreHello need help picking colors . Have open living room dinning room
Comments (2)I’m trying to get a color to go with the gray couches . Not sure the light gray at bottom of pic or the darker gray at top of same pic. Putting in a dark gray rug . Theirs a red accent wall thinking of paint the dark teal at bottom of other photo. Not sure to paint entrance with dark gray and the living room with light gray or opposite way . Any help would be appreciated thanks ....See MoreHelp with Open living room/dinning room area
Comments (9)No I don't think you need to get a shorter table unless the one you have is wider than usual (most tables are 3-3.5' wide). I don't think the length is the issue in that room, it's the width. You can just get a bench instead of chairs on that side. Your table is probably 6' long or so, right? Then it will still fit in the dining room. You may want to play around with just putting chairs on 2 sides instead of 3 and pushing it more towards the corner to avoid encroaching on the living room space. 6'+3' = 9' so you'd have 1' to spare. If you want to share some space with the living room you could put seating on both sides....See Morehelp with dinning room
Comments (5)Turn your table around you might be surprised to see there's space for a sideboard. You can find an inexpensive one such as below on Wayfair or find nice old style buffets on places such as Marktplace or used furniture stores that you can paint. Remove the table cloth and place a centrepiece. Hang a large chandelier that will give you good lighting as your room looks very dark, perhaps painting your walls in a warm white would also help. If your furniture is all wood tone, you might consider painting the chairs black for contrast. Install side drapes to your window plus a natural fibre roman shade to give a nice finished look....See Moreloobab
