Tiny Bathroom Remodel/Stone walls & floor

Hi everyone. I have a small 2nd bathroom in my home that I want to update. I don’t know exactly what the material is on the walls and floors but I’ll include photos. I just want to replace the vanity & mirror... the shower will remain as it is.
My question is, can this bathroom be redone without trying to rip out the floors and walls, or would it look better by painting over it? Maybe white?
I want a small vanity that is white/gray/ with brushed gold type faucet to match the shower.
Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance!

5 years agoyou wont have any problem finding the same size of vanity with a very different vibe.
since your baseboard heater is white, i'd go white with everything you are changing, match the metals. then go colorful on the towels and a floor mat, which will cover a bit of your tiles.
i found this photo....obviously we're not talking about this style, but look how fresh the blue is when combined with beige and white.

Comments (12)That does not look like a load bearing wall to me. I would expect to see studs in the middle, or a header at the top. Here is a drawing of a small bathroom renovation I am doing right now. The room is only 5'x6' but I am squeezing a shower in there too. I bought a wall mount toilet and wall mount sink to save space and keep the floor open. Combined with large format tiles I am hoping it will make the room look bigger. Just to give you some food for thought. Definitely get rid of that wall to open things up. Also consider a smaller vanity so it doesn't take up so much of the room. Comments (6)Get that nasty hacked up molding ridiculousness off of that mirror. And either gut the whole bath to the studs and start over. Or, do nothing, other than actual proper job on mirror replacement, and put in a real ceiling instead of that other hack. The hack work is really bringing it down. Comments (27)I am drawn to the first floral you posted. although I worry that my tastes tends toward to "granny" sometimes and with the pink tile want to be careful to avoid that. I hear what you are saying about a frame providing more impact, so definitely open to replacing the mirror with a framed one. I'd also like something else (a print? ) above the toilet, the medicine cabinet is empty and is not necessary for the room....See More

At least continue the look with a travertine basin and bronze faucet.
