Design Dilemma Flooring

Anyone tried white (or light) vinyl plank flooring?

This may seem like a silly question, but is it difficult to keep clean? I’m considering putting Home Depot’s LifeProof vinyl plank in Powder Oak on our first floor. We are a shoes-off family indoors, but the shoes do get tracked into the areas near the entry doors. I worry that those areas will become darker over time than the other shoe-free areas from accumulated grime. Is this a valid concern, or does the vinyl floor clean up pretty easily and well? There is slight texturing, so I wonder if dirt could get trapped in those areas.

If anyone has photos of LifeProof floors in the lighter tones (Powder Oak or Ocala Oak), I’d love to see them.

We put a similar floor (light gray oak) in my daughter's condo almost 3 years ago and I love it. Keeps the whole house very light and airy, easy to clean with a damp miracle cloth (including graining you referred to). I say go for it!

Seems like it might be more practical than a dark floor. Dark floors show every piece of lint or speck of dust and only look clean for about 5 minutes. I'd go for it, too.

I'm not overly concerned about it looking like exactly like wood, because for me the practicality and price are paramount, living in a rural area with a busy family. I'll have a kitchen open to the dining room and living room, and I don't want hardwood in the kitchen. And I do like the idea of a clean look with the same flooring throughout. Plus I grew up with hardwood floors in a NYC prewar apartment, so I have particular expectations for hardwood : ) . Though I have to say that even the TrafficMaster Allure has fooled a lot of people, including visitors from Europe who live with hardwood themselves. And our dining room has windows on three sides, so it gets a lot of light. Besides, I'm so thrilled with vinyl plank flooring that I'm happy to tell anyone who asks about the details.

HI I had Prime Waterproof Dark Roast installed in my kitchen and back of the house, I hate it, I cannot get this floor looking clean. It smudges and never look clean. Has anyone else had problems with this floor. I have tried Bono and Rejuvinate cleaner for LVP floors, but left them looking hazy. My floor is Matt finish. Which seems to show every foot print and sock print. Im going crazy trying to find the best cleaning for this floor. Could it be my mop? I use a microfiber mop. Does anyone else use something else? Suggestions are appriciated.

Millworkman: So, I am no longer using my Husband's sign on. He asked me not too. this is what NAF say's in the inspection report: In response to the warranty claim filed on your behalf, NAF contracted an FCITS certified independent inspector. To ensure the unbiased outcome of an inspection, NAF does not contract NAF employees, retail flooring store employees, contractors, installers or any other related business employees to perform our inspections. So, I find out that the inspector doesn't even have NWFA cert and he also works for a Flooring company in Federal Way, WA. Seems pretty deceptive to me.

Thank you! I’ll go for it :) Decided to go with the LifeProof Ocala Oak instead, but that too, is a very light color.

I would love to see a pic of the Ocala Oak installed if you don't mind sharing a pic! I am also deciding on the Ocala vs. the Powder oak for a condo renovation.

I just ordered Karastan Luxury Vinyl Planks, light color, very similar to your photo. I was concerned about dirt. A rep told me dark floors show dust and light floors are easier to keep clean.
