Has anyone used Armstrong's vinyl line Pryzm?
Comments (109)The backing is cork so I am not surprised by a vapor barrier requirement. We are having it put down throughout our new home and will be glad to be 100% tile and grout free for the first time in our lives :) I have some old samples that I've tried to damage. It is very difficult to scratch or gouge, the only way I was able to pit it was to take a decent swing at it with a sharp tool that had some weight to it. Makes me wonder if we'll even want or need to fuss around with felt pads under everything (they seem to be magnets for dirt, hair, fur, or whatever floats around before you have a chance to sweep it up.)...See Morehas anyone used Masland Luxury Vinyl plank
Comments (7)I’m new to this... here’s more info regarding LVP /Masland. I have 5 teenagers 2 dogs, and a pool.... hardwoods have taken a beating. I would like to use LVP for better wear, but i haven’t been able to find one I really like the look and feel of,. I was in a large showroom and came across Masland. I liked the color and feel of the product. However, I noticed online that it wasn’t as present as other brands and I couldn’t find any sites that actually reviewed it. So, wanted more information about its wear, price etc that the other companies so freely advertise. Thanks For any information regarding this...See MoreHas anyone used the ProCore Plus flooring from Lowes? Any concerns?
Comments (1)We have Lowes' SmartCore in our downstairs bathroom. I'm fairly sure there are two price levels, and we chose the more expensive one (compare the specs). We love it; no problems at all, and would definitely put it elsewhere. Caution: LVP (or LVT) performance depends on the CORRECT installation. They say it's a DIY, but unless you have DIY experience in laying floors, it's worth paying a pro to lay it down for you. All vinyl plank and tile need a level floor, and most importantly, proper spacing at the wall to allow for expansion and contraction. Hope this helps....See MoreHas anyone bought their luxury vinyl plank flooring online
Comments (11)Four years ago, when they were a relatively new brand, we bought Flooret. We were pleased with the product. So much so that we have another project right now that needs flooring. My plan was to just order the exact same flooring from Flooret again. Didn't work out because Flooret changed their design model to one that I now no longer like (painted beveled edges). So, I've been shopping the local flooring stores. There are tons of them (typically called carpet stores). The one negative we had with our Flooret experience that made us stop and think about whether we'd do it again was the delivery process. The delivery truck came with its small forklift and did a drop of the flooring. The closest the forklift could get was in front of our garage in the alley. My husband and I (we're older) had to hand carry the entire order into the house by ourselves--it's heavy. We had the flooring professionally installed, but the installers certainly aren't just sitting around waiting at your house when the delivery drop off is made, so you are on your own. If you plan to do your own install, this is no big deal since you'd be carrying it around anyway. It's going to be easier this time around because we're planning to order from a small, local business. Their warehouse will get the delivery, and our installer will pick it up there....See MoreHU-461674326
