Have you seen them in person? The “off-white” isn’t really off-white, unless you are putting it against something that is a very crisp white. It’s really just a warm white. Here it is in my former house: I would not paint them, because I don’t think the cost + work will be worth it. The prep work would be intense, particularly because of all of the ridges in the raised panel design. If you absolutely don’t want that color, find a paint-ready door from another vendor. Rantantoo posted a link to my thread above, where I compare bids from three great companies for my IKEA cabinets. I paid less to get doors from one of them than I would have from IKEA, even with the cost of the paint and sprayer. If you’re willing to paint yourself, don’t mess around with an IKEA door.

I’m following this thread, because im deciding between grimslov vs bodbyn cabinets in off-white. I have the actual door samples. It looks like the bodbyn is a tad more creamy with a slight yellow hue. I’m curious on the durability of the grimslov since it is thermofoil. The bodyn is painted. I will post a picture of both cabinets soon.

@kel_kat5 How wide is the counter space in each of those three options with the various pantry sizes? How big is your family? I'm considering a 15" pantry which seems quite small in comparison to most I've seen, but I live alone and currently have no pantry at all, so I think any tall cabinet would seem luxe!
