Master Bedroom Disaster

Please help me with our master bedroom! I'm so embarrassed to post it.... but honestly we were trying not to spend money on it until we could afford upgrading to a king bed and all of my cheap "temporary" decorations have been a fail.

The only thing I like and want to keep are the chandelier and moon paintings (although I was thinking of moving them to the wall at the foot of the bed). I do like the wall color but it's proving to be a bit of a challenge to decorate around. The dog crate can go because we've taken the door off the little closet and turned it into a dog bedroom lol. We've turned another room into the human closet.

I think the style I'm shooting for is rustic glam? Cozy transitional?
Here's what I'm thinking so far:
-Accent color: pink, maybe changing the star map picture to pink peonies?
-Bed: cane? upholstered? I prefer a platform bed if possible.
-Bedding: White isn't really an option with the iron content in our water, it's exhausting to keep on top of. I was thinking pink and grey or black linen? I prefer a duvet, comfort wise.
-Nightstands: ? maybe mirrored or white chests?
-Lamps: ?
-Foot of the bed: either a dresser or a faux fireplace/mantel? With the moon pictures above?
-Curtains: white linen? pink velvet? (actually floor length too)
-Art: what do I do on either side of the window? Do I need more than that?
