Do you have a California King Bed?
Comments (14)We have one and are going to switch to a Standard King. California King bedding is readily available in the West but if you read the fine print the measurements for both Cal King and Regular King bedding are exactly the same except for the fitted bottom sheet. Top sheets and most (not all blankets) are a bit too short for tucking in or a nice drape. So we decided since tall DH sleeps curled up anyway and we don't spend a lot of the same hours bed anyway we will sacrifice a few inches in length for a few extra inches in width. That may give us a better tucked top sheet along with more room for the beasts....See MoreArea rug with king bed on wood floor
Comments (8)It really does depend on the other furniture in the room. I have a king with a 5x8 at the foot and it works fine- only because of the dresser, armoire and bench also prominent in the room and the traffic flow area. As far as a rug under the bed it's a personal preference, one I won't do as I like to easily dust mop underneath for constant dog hair although I do somewhat like the look of a continuous rug but then again when I see rugs under beds I think of all the dust and who cleans it....See MoreHaving trouble choosing the right Rug to go under the bed
Comments (11)Lovely bedroom! I’d go a bit dramatic, and bring in some warmth for a luxe feel. Something with charcoal and/or black in it. I love mixing a traditional rug with glam and sleek. It’s a more timeless look. These all have a hint of gold to tie in with your lamps. https://incrediblerugsanddecor.com/products/karastan-bobby-berk-series-1-amara-charcoal-area-rug Bigger, but the mock-up skewed the pattern: https://incrediblerugsanddecor.com/products/karastan-spice-market-petra-charcoal-area-rug This one is a bit edgier: https://incrediblerugsanddecor.com/products/loloi-prescott-pre-02-beige-area-rug https://incrediblerugsanddecor.com/products/karastan-relic-caral-black-area-rug This is a striking rug, you’d just need to make sure it wouldn’t clash with your bed color: https://www.cb2.com/myriad-handknotted-area-rug-8x10/s605947 Going pricier, but there are some gorgeous rugs here, more heirloom category. Example: https://www.kilim.com/detail/k0056666-new-hand-knotted-wool-oushak-rug This Karastan is ekegant and gorgeous. I had to mock it up small, due to the pattern, you could go bigger: https://www.karastanrugs.com/products/cosmopolitan-kamo-jade Anyway, unless you want a monochromatic look, you don’t have to stick with all gray rugs. I look at rugs as art on the floor. :) If you do decide to go with a more monochromatic look, some lovely examples here: https://curatedinterior.com/glam-bedrooms/...See MoreHelp with Bedroom Rug King Size Bed (10 x 14) Smoke Blue Accent Wall
Comments (15)judianna20 I did hire a professional who dumped the project when the wall paper she insisted I pick not the one I loved was damaged. She did not fix it and nor would the company take it back. The wallpaper hangers were left to either try to fix the problem. It was a disaster costing me 1600.00 Then 400.00 take glue off the wall they left and paint. So yes I did hire a professional but I wont name her because it doesnt do any good as I agreed to go with her and she didnt fix the problem and just ignored it happened and that it cost me alot to trust her. She is local designer but really no degree in Interior design that should of been a red flag but only in Art degree. She was known for staging and I think that was the only thing she was good at and everything else she was off in color and off in scale and honestly I fired her and didnt look back....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
