SOS Help with a better Master Bath Layout
Comments (1)If it's possible to do so, you could get rid of the sink that is to the right of the doorway (on the curve), move the doorway to the right and make the shower area larger by expanding it to the area where the doorway is now......OR.......move the doorway to the right still, make a shower where the garden tub is now, and put a 2nd vanity in the old shower space expanding it to the area where the doorway is now. If you're moving in a year, you might want to keep the garden tub because then you won't be excluding any buyers and you'll still be getting a larger shower. Whichever gives you the most bang for your buck....See MoreI re-decorated my Master Bath

Comments (12)my master bath is Revere Pewter. I love it, although it seems too light to me--I wish i had gone at least one or maybe even two shades darker. We were thinking we should go light since the slate is so dark. The paint looks great in the room, though, in my opinion. We tried a couple other sample shades of gray on the wall before we painted, but the others had too much blue--the grays were too "cold." the revere pewter feels much warmer. to me it's more of a brown/taupy gray than a blue gray. I don't know what your bedroom color looks like, but the RP is a warm gray to me. I just took these photos--so Noon, sunny outside, no flash. i can take more tonight with the lights on if you would like. I also tried to take pics angling up so you can see the contrast with the white ceiling. the first pic looks lighter on my screen than it really is. Comments (2)Using "Southern" and "Island" as a basis, I think the shiplap would look great. But instead of thinking of blending it in, I would have the contractor finish it in a driftwood color to pull the grey or taupe from the tile and the counter top. I would paint the cabinets and trim a soft white and change the faucet and cabinet knobs to bronze. All of this will work together to tone down the dressiness of the stone. As for the mirrors, I would tend to use the same configuration as now, but would frame them with either wood to match the cabinets or a tumbled marble tile. I would also add wall lighting over the mirrors....See Morebeckysharp Reinstate SW Unconditionally
