'matching' typical 70's era dark 'bronze' aluminum windows
Comments (4)If your goal is to match your current windows, then you should go with a bronze anodized aluminum window. I'm in Southern California, so I can't help you with vendors, but I am in market for metal windows. I've looked at Milgard on the low end and Fleetwood, Bonelli, Hope's, Torrance Steel Window and Metal Window Corp on the high end. I don't have a modern house but if I did, I'd most likely be getting Fleetwoods. Milgard can give you much of the look for about 1/3 of the price of Fleetwoods. Fleetwood's website should direct you to local dealers and then it's just a matter of getting quotes. Good luck....See MoreBuyer Beware: Black Andersen 400 Series Casement Windows
Comments (85)Dealing with a similar sutuation. New build with same windows. I was a little surprised when i noticed the exterior mitre joints, as mine are identical. One thing i know for sure is that “damage” you think is from the factory is 100% from the installer. Mine were installed with way more damage. Aside from the major damage, I did have those scuff/scratch type marks all over several of mine as well, the good news is - they literally wipe off with a decent amount of elbow grease. I was happy when I realized it wasnt permanent....See MoreBlack Interior + Black Exterior Vinyl Windows
Comments (20)Does anyone know a window company/manufacturer in the Atlanta area they would recommend for black interior/black exterior windows? I do not want wood--do not want the upkeep. We did a house remodel that just finished and replaced some of the windows. I dislike the wood interior which we had to paint and it's only been a few months and it is already chipping and is extremely sensitive to any "use". I want a window that I can install and not worry about again...for a while. But it has to be black/black. I'm open for any suggestions and not married to any brand. Thank you....See MoreWanted black windows but got dark bronze
Comments (63)We are building a beach home in Florida and have the same exact problem right now. We told the builder that we want a white home with black windows and doors. They said No Problem. We paid a lot of money for the upgrade. Last week we got the rendition of the house and the house is beige with bronze windows. I looked at the contract and sure enough it says upgrade price for bronze windows. I have no idea why they put that in there when our discussion was so different. Now we are back and forth trying to figure out what to do. Are you building in Palm Coast, Florida by any chance?...See Morecat_ky
