Comments (15)Grammahony I think that is an awesome thing and even more awesome is that you appreciate it enuff 2 share with us and that you will pay it forward.if ore ppl did that, it would be a nicer world we live in. I have a restaurant and am always giving something to someone..cant help myself! Once you get regular customers, you see some of them more than some family members, and now I consider many of them family...we have 1 huge table at lunchtime with all of the same peeps each weekday, and they get to "try out" my new creations, whether it be baked goods or a soup, or whatever. I love them, and since they are all retired, sure do miss them when one gets ill or worse! I have named some of my foods after some of the people too! I only sell angus burgers, and one of our "family" has his a certain way and now I will run a "chuckburger" once in awhile to give them a lift for the day! And, once I had sloppy joes and called them Bobs white trash roadkill cuz he brought me a white trash cookbook and picked on me about learning how to cook, and thought i could use some good old fashioned recipes..LOL! I told him if he catches me a live possum, and cleaned it for me, I'd cook him a meal he wont soon forget......we have soo much fun! Well, sorta got off the subject. But I have been known to give away a meal or 2.....I cannot stand for anyone to go hungry! It hurts my heart! Comments (9)It is a darling quilt, and yeah..........it really tickles me to see some of the most unlikely people show interest in quilting and quilts. My g'daughter was the recipeint of my pink (get rid of stash) quilt on her 18th birthday, and she immediately asked me if I would show her how to quilt. I was thrilled. We have had several young, newly wed couples from my husband's church at our house, and most of the gals ask me if I quilted the ones they see about. Most of them have said they've done at least one quilt, or helped their mothers do one. Your baby quilts are so cute, Mary. Comments (10)Thanks all! Sorry for not keeping up. I have developed a nasty cold and am beyond fog brain. I have tried to respond a few times but things keep happening. Lupins can be a challenge for a lot of us that don't have the right conditions- too hot, soil not acidic enough...I know many of you can grow plants that I can only dream of, usually because of zone. Faith I have grown them for years and this was a first for me having a rebloom, so fun. The weather has been crazy this year. Any of you had this happen before? sandyslopes you are too kind! You of the gorgeous gardens & combos. If some of you are not familiar - just wow. hydrangeahead they are worth the fight though aren't they. Yes dbarron (thank you) is correct Chelone. They are such a great late season plant. The bees love them. Never expected that I would ever see them bloom with the Lupins. Please add your out of sync bloomers. it's not lasting long cut but I rarely cut them anyway.
