Thank you, Ingrid! I haven't grown HdB in awhile but decided to add her to my striped rose collection. She was always healthier for me than Variegata de Bolgna. As I recall she gave me remontancy, as Zephirine Drouhin does, but in our current climate, who knows? Time will tell. Maybe I'll just enjoy the foliage! :-) I also prefer DdB's flower to many modern stripes. I am taking a gamble on the striped Tea, Madame Driout. I've never grown her, but decided to give her whirl as one of my few roses in that class. I've only seen one bloom, but it was intriguing--darker pink than HdB and globular as it unfurled. Really quite pretty! I may attempt to post a photo (I shudder at the thought of trying) of DdB, MD and Clotilde Soupert in a vase. I hope Cecil is continuing to heal! Carol

I already have the Mademoiselle, although I still pinch off the blooms to make her want to grow faster. Yours was lovely. So glad you were able to post!
