oops, I just saw this & was going to suggest you add a little Grey Owl to white so that the ceiling wouldn't make the trim disappear. It sounds luscious!

Following as I am painting my walls Simply White. I am doing Aura matte and wondering if trim should be the same in a semi gloss. My doors will be black.

Help! We’re moving into a new home and before we do I want to paint EVERYTHING the SAME Benjamin Moore Simply White? I think, ! But I’m ignorant as to “finishes”. Eggshell on walls and gloss (or is it satin) on trim/cabinets/ceiling/doors? In other words, the trim can be same finish as ceiling, doors, and kitchen cabinets (the walls being the only eggshell finish) but everything the same color? Also what do I do with the brick like fireplace wall thing? Can I paint it white too? I’m worried about it reflecting yellow onto the white walls. I want to open up the space and make it fresher/brighter but hate how yellow it is now. Also, none of this furniture belongs to us so please disregard. Kitchen cabinets will also be painted white, after deglossing. All help appreciated!

First I would do the ceiling the same color as the walls I like matte for walls and ceilings and then a satin for trim as for the cabinets they will need to be done by an actual cabinet refinisher with conversion varnish so you can go the same color but they will look a bit different every time you change the sheen the color catches the light differently so keep that in mind. I am not sure why the cabinets need painting , I actually love the way the paint is now in the house.
