siding, shutter, and foundation colors?
Comments (3)blue will not compete. look in nature. blue sky, and all the tall green trees. i think a nice medium/dark blue w/your brick would be very pretty. you could also choose a shade of green. I hate the siding color that's currently there. The shutters on the front window, under the porch, are way out of proportion. remove them. if the shutters can't completely close over the windows, they shouldn't be there. it actually makes the front of your house look very crowded. your front is similar to this one. look how removing the shutters opens it up. I don't care for this yellow, but the smaller windows on the left look better w/o shutters. This color blue is nice BM Sparrow a warmer charcoal could also work. Comments (7)Remove the shutters, problem solved. Can the trim around the windows be painted? Is there any? Hard to tell from the photo. The brown of the column is quite dominating, would you consider painting it? In your case, I would focus on getting a consistent look at the windows (the curtains at the window to the left of the door are brown on one side and white on the other?) Am I seeing that right? And landscaping (even though you’re selling) those shrubs don’t enhance your cute entry. Add stylish house numbers to the column and it’ll look great. So you get an idea:...See MoreHelp with picking exterior colors - roof, siding, shutters
Comments (13)We had a hailstorm last year and had to have our roof replaced. Where we live several houses were having their roofs replaced and our HOA calls for you to have the color “weathered wood”. We started noticing lots of roofs being replaced and the newer shingles are very speckled looking! a house that has a lot of variation in the brick can really look a little crazy if the roof is speckled also. I would just be really careful picking what looks like architectural shingles using sample pictures. If you call the roofing supplier or your roofer they should be able to give you addresses of the colors of shingles you’re interested in so you could actually drive to by that home and see the shingles on an actual home. We found it very helpful and the color “weather wood” is very different looking across different brands of roofing. We chose Malarkey brand their Legacy line in “Weathered Wood” color upgrading to the class 4 impact resistant shingles. you also might check with your insurance company because we paid a little extra to get the class 4 impact resistant shingle and we get a discount on our insurance. Comments (13)It appears, the front door isnt in yet, but, what I dont see, is any type of covered entry on the front. That alone would add interest to the house, and once landscaping is all done, it will look very nice....See MoreTammy Lutz
