What to do - only 1-nightstand in master bedroom
Comments (18)Thought someone might like to know that those who like the very upscale and modern look of Baker furniture designers like Barbara Barry , Thos. Pheasant, and Bill Scofield but don't like the 5-7,000 dollar price tags are checking out the repros from Brighton Furniture. Bedroom nightstands are included. Absolutely dead on in every way and how they can do it without a single challenge from Baker is beyond me! I own a mirror from them and have spoken to the owner by phone to ask about their offerings. Remarkable products at remarkable prices and as close as you can get to the genuine articles in every way but price. This is not an ad for this company in any sense of the word, but is definitely a very well kept designer secret....See MoreHelp with choosing nightstands for custom bed
Comments (20)bev, thank you for providing those pics! i lean toward the painted chests in this instance, mainly because the bed has a matching dresser, the floors are dark brown, so there is a lot of brown in the room... i really like navy too...in fact, one of the rugs that may go in the room (currently in the dining room) is a oriental rug that is mostly navy...the entire home is painted the bluish/grey color, and i was considering doing the dining area walls in navy the other issue, i'm not sure i like the lacquered finish with this furniture ...the asian style is a bit iffy to me...the other wood finish chests with matte finishes are gorgeous...especially the first one...i'm really not very adept at mixing wood finishes, especially if the pieces are side by side, to me visually it just looks better to go with a contrast painted finish bbstx... the bedroom has a huge reach in closet that is mirrored (gah!) so i don't think i want to add more mirrors... this house is a 'modular' home that was adjacent to our vineyard and went on the market, so we snapped it up...it poses 'interesting' design challenges to say the least...(i've considered starting a thread on re-decorating it, in an of itself!) i agree with you about the chest i linked...i like it quite a bit personally, but DBF thinks white furniture looks 'girly' (throw back to little girl's white bedroom furniture so commonly used)...i may be able to persuade him with more rustic lamps and accessories you can see just the corner (in the dresser pic), but there is a sitting room right across from the master that will probably have a desk which will be also be natural wood tones...i'm considering putting a barn door on that opening for privacy, and it would probably be painted white to match the doors throughout the house (and baseboards)....still not sure on that one though, rustic barn boards would look pretty cool too... this is one space that needs a 'mood board' (for visualization purposes) but i am just terrible at those too!...See MoreWhat nightstand and dresser would go with this bed ?
Comments (76)@Molly - yes I have enough space in the room to fit the Westcliffe nightstand next to the bed. But it just makes me think is it worth spending 1600 on 2 nightstands !!!...See MorePlease help to pair nightstands and dresser with the bed.
Comments (94)I have wanted a combo of woods and this all works. Thanks for the wall color too. Only other thought is to select chair if you do a chair that isn’t too dark. They tend to catch every piece of lint and dust flying around. I would still lean with blues. Bring some Gray in from bathroom for rug. I also assume you can personalize it with some of your dad’s fav things or pictures. You could do a grouping of pictures around TV on wall. Some version of this. From 4 to more pictures. Ones that make your Dad happy every time he sees them....See MoreRelated Professionals
