To my untrained eyes, the gray you are testing looks darker than the gray in your bricks.

Are you talking about painting the areas around the windows (that are currently beige-ish) OR the bricks? Or both?

That gray sample is really dark. From the distant view it looks almost black. That, coupled with the overgrown shrubbery, makes it appear as though you want your house to be hidden.

Trim your shrubs first, obviously. Actually, I’d probably completely remove the ones right next to the house, then think about whether I needed to change paint colors.

Agree the grey you sampled is too dark. I like the rolling shrubbery, the others next to the house should be removed (not all) and replace with different height plants.

The gray should be a warm gray, not as blue as your sample.

I think a mossy green trim looks good with that color brick.

The dark grey works on your inspiration pictures because the windows show black. And there's lots of them proportionally. Yours show white because of curtains that won't mix as well. If you delete or replace the curtains it'll work better. But still not as well because of few windows on some sections.
