LOVE IT! I've had SERIOUS problems w/ shrubs next to the house getting too big and/or the roots growing toward the foundation. We'd planned on putting in just that type of wall rounding the one side of the house! Best of all, no pruning! Can't stand trying to SQUEEEEZE btwn the shrb and house - they STAB me! lol NOW, when the grandson's come to 4-wheel (we have 62 acres) the gas they use up will be "paid" by bringing up flat rocks for Grandma! THANKS!

If you want this door to have that wow factor then check Fine paints of europe.com they have a door kit that includes everything with instructions that will give you the best look. Entry doors if painted should Never see latex,it gives off a cheap look.

Definitely too small! I am also not loving the round shape. I would get a larger rectangle rug and lay it so the length runs perpendicular with the entry door. Something similar to this...

Thank you all so much for the great feedback!! I love the design choices and inspirational photos shared with me. I agree with removing the shudders. The driveway has a somewhat tight roundabout that we may have to consider removing. Although I do love the Japanese Maple in the center. Lots to think about and hopefully with the help of an Architect we can come come up with the right design. I have included more photos to show the driveway.
