Design Dilemma Kitchens Storage & Closet

Need help on pull sizes for kitchen cabinets/drawers!

We just refaced/painted our cabinets and they are a folkestone gray which is dark gray with brown undertones. We have to decide we we want knobs/pulls or just pulls and if so, one or 2 on the 34" wide drawers? The lower cabinets have to use 3" pulls since they are already drilled but the uppers and drawers can be any size. All our appliances and fixtures are stainless steel and I do like this gunmetal gray/chrome pull (matches perfectly and comes in every size) but am open to suggestions. We are used to having 2 pulls on the drawers but can get to used to anything if one larger pull on the drawer looks more updated. Please advise.....

My 2 cents...since you are using the 3" pulls in the lower doors, I would go with a 8-10" matching pull on the extra wide drawers. If you were using knobs in the lower doors, 2 pulls would look great. I would do knobs in the uppers.

My dilemma as well....look at New Haven Design "North San Antonio Kitchen Remodel". She uses multiple sizes based on proportionality and I love it...now to figure out what fits in my reno...good luck!

Some people are afraid that if they put two pulls on a drawer that means they cannot open it with one hand...not true! As long as you have decent drawer hardware, you can use one or two hands w/o hurting the hardware or the alignment. I use one hand probably 90% of the time to open my drawers...and no problems yet! Here's a kitchen w/two pulls on drawers >= 30" and 1 pull on drawers The cabinets are, left-to-right, 33" drawer base, 18" trash pullout, 36" sink base, 24" DW, 27" drawer base, 31.5" oven cabinet. In this pic, the cabinets are: 24" drawer base (around the corner), 30" warming drawer + drawers, 6" pullout, 36" cooktop cabinet, 6" pullout, 31.5" MW Drawer + drawer.

Do you mean shaker style doors or a truly flat slab door? If you mean a slab door then I would lean toward something sleek and modern to complement the modern look of a slab door. Drawer handles at roughly 1/3 the width are visually pleasing ... except if you have narrow drawers (like 12" wide or less) and then I go with "what does my hand fit into nicely?". I think I wound up with about a 4.5" handle on those drawers, just a smidge larger than 1/3 of the width. On drawers that are wide, like 30+", you might struggle to find a single pull that is large enough. I used 8" handles on my 30" wide drawers because the style I liked didn't come any larger - unless I used an appliance pull and those just looked wrong. It looks fine, larger would have looked better but my island has a 30" base, 24" base, 30" base in series and the drawer handles are consistent so it seems reasonable. Good luck, they are expensive little things when you need so many!

@HU-187528210 I am using the 5" on all my uppers and lower cabinet doors, plus I am using the 5" on three other drawers. I am using 9" on the other stack of drawers. I haven't decided on the drawers in the bar area, either using 7" or 9" there for 24" drawers I just thought maybe the 7" would be easier to grab for the trash pull out and would match the 7" handle for the 24" microwave drawer in the island So hard to decide.
