Need to paint kitchen table; color advice please
Comments (7)when you say a 'few shades creamier' do you mean darker? If you mean than then id say that would look nice and if you plan to keep the chairs then I would go darker than the chairs on the table. The subtle contrasts will look better so you don't have it look like you tried to match it all. Make sure whomever paints the table really really preps it well. Funny, I never heard the term banquette? Do you mean the island? Revere pewter is a very pretty color and does have a slight green to it. I almost did it in my halls but am going to do pale oak, which is a more putty color. Good luck with all...See MoreThursday's Question..............
Comments (22)Since the day the KT opening was announced on the Crafts and Decoration forum and over I came, lots of things have happened. We moved from Ohio to Georgia and love it. My husband had a heart attack and open heart surgery and is doing great now. Our daughter became a grandma, making us greatgrandparents to a little boy and a little girl, and come October, number 3 greatgrandchild ( a boy) will arrive. I've hosted 3 annual Crafters Get-togethers in our home with people coming from as far away as England. The 4th will be held June 20 and I should have wall to wall people sleeping everywhere. I love it....See MoreKitchen table color?
Comments (6)I like your idea of a round table because it looks friendlier and seats more people. The color doesn't have to be an exact match to your kitchen cabinets, and if you can keep it in the ballpark that's fine. Matchy-matchy can be boring. A rug is a splendid idea, and I suggest you make it on the large side, after measuring carefully. Can you move the table and chair further away from the kitchen to leave more room for a good-sized rug? I would also suggest two beautiful runners in compatible colors and styles for either side of the island to break up the large expanse of wood....See Morekitchen table color
Comments (2)You could paint the oak table to match your cabinets. A light cream colored table would look good against your dark floors....See Moredecoenthusiaste
