Long accent wall with fireplace - need help!

We’re moving into this house soon and I need help with this long accent wall. Right now, I’m considering painting the walls white with this as a gray accent wall but I’m open to suggestions! It’s currently painted a dark navy/gray but all walls/floors need replaced. We will be putting our farmhouse table in here and I plan on doing something else with the mantel. Ideas??

The room looks too small for an accent wall. I'd want the color the same on all walls, whatever you choose. Remember, paint is the last item in a makeover project. It can be custom blended to work with your fabrics and textiles, which are set in stone.

The accent wall isn't helping the room, and truthfully the fireplace looks so out of place. If you really wanted to add a feature in this room beef up the fireplace, tile it up to the ceiling or something. Right now it's just sort of there and looks very random.

I prefer accent walls to be those with no redeeming architectural features. If you want one wall to be a different color, I would choose the longest wall that has no windows, doors or a fireplace. If this isn't your furniture, then we can't suggest a color. Paint should work with the fabrics and textiles in a space. Bring those in, take fresh pix, and post as a new dilemma.

Agree with jck910. Revere Pewter isn't especially dark either, so not sure about the contrast with the edgecomb gray. My walls were all Revere Pewter, and they were pretty light...

Well, this may not be your style or colors, but I would add white, metallics and look for a bolder patterned rug.

Hello, Have you considered an electric fireplace? Touchstone makes some really nice wall mounted ones. The flame and heater work independently so you can use them all year round. You’re definitely right - the fireplace is out of place there, which is probably why I feel stuck on what to do with this room!
