Avocado plant / bug issues / anyone?

ben zilla

Okay, so I have an avocado plant. I started this from an avocado pit. Peeled the pit, put it in water with toothpicks. Once it got to be 6" tall, I cut it back to 3". Then once it got back up to 6" again i potted it with normal potting soil in a 6" diameter pot with drainage holes on the bottom.

It's at my office. And I've noticed all these SUPER TINY white bugs crawling all over the seed. I'm also seeing little brown spots on the stem which I'm assuming the bugs are eating it?

I got some horticultural oil and sprayed it all over the dirt and the plant yesterday and again today. But that didn't work. The bugs still crawl.

They're seriously giving me the heeby jeeby's and making me feel itchy (I'm sure that part is just my subconcious).

Any tips would be appreciated.
