CM makes some good points here, but aren't the whole story.... (yeah....I know, this started in 2014) * No way is any store doing 3 "separate" draw-downs, unless CM meant 3 draw-downs from a single tinted can? * Yes I will...IF the customer is buying 3 Qts for me to play with....! * I've never been asked that in 15 years!!! * Depending on draw-down size, you start to affect the formula/color if you're brushing-out more than a tblsp total....ESPECIALLY for "whites". * We do a side-by-side, and tweak if necessary, until both parties are satisfied. * Then, we save the final "Matched" formula under a last name into the appropriate computer. * In all my years, we've maybe had 3 "paint batch issues"...& that's over ~~~ 8 different brands in 15 yrs. It's just too rare.... * It CAN take a half-hour to nail a color. And we've got damn-good scanners & tinters! >>> One over-arcing point here.... THERE IS NO such thing as a "perfect match". OPTICALLY, it's impossible. EVERY companies colorants & paints are different. It's like finding the "perfect spouse"!!! There's always SOMETHING that's a little "off". I strive for..."Close enough to be irrelevant". If I can't find my dried-off sample-match next to (or within a larger one) the original, it's done!! But...is it "PERFECT" ?!?!?!? I have a bed of peonies fronted by Sheffield pink chrysanthemum. The mum stays short until the peonies do their thing, then it has nice, fluffy foliage all summer & blooms outrageously in October. Yeah, one Sheffield pink has spread to 5x3 so you would only need to buy one LOL.

I want to use the AO tile I purchased from a tile store but am looking for additional trim pieces. I found the Precision H2o line for Daltile, also called Tribute I think, and they make trim pieces in the Daltile colors. The woman I spoke to said that the Arctic White would match the AO ice white. I got a sample and the color match is pretty good. I'm wondering though, once the whole thing is up with the chair rail, if it looks like a match or if you can tell it's slightly hand made looking compared to the machine tile. Ever used it? Happy with it?

I prefer the second rug layout. It's a gracious entryway so it's nice to have the rug fill the space a bit more, plus you always want to give breathing room around a rug rather than squishing it up against a wall or piece of furniture. We generally steer clear of light toned entry rugs for practical reasons so you may want to consider that. And lastly, a flat weave rug is more suitable for a space like this than a cut pile, which is what your rug appears to be (maybe I'm reading the images incorrectly?). They're more durable and easier to clean.
