Help!!!White stucco house colour suggestions?
We are building a home in Toronto, Canada. The home has a mansard roof (black); black window frames and black metal canopy above front door. The home will be all white stucco. Looking for paint suggestions (must be Benjamin Moore) The front elevation faces west so the sun is quite strong most of the day. It is a corner lot so the south facing elevation is quite visible from the street. In the summer there is a lot of tree coverage but it will be quite bare in the winter and early spring. I want a fairly crisp white but am concerned the colour will be too glaring or, too yellow. Please see pics for better idea of the house.
Although the canopy above door is shingled (this was an error by the roofer) it will be replaced with a metal canopy.

Comments (18)I think I like the lighter color you're using @celerygirl. I'm pretty sure that that's what I've decided on. I', also going to add the address like you did as well. Great idea!! But I think I'll likely go with a solid color awning once I figure out what color. I'm generally not the biggest fan of stripes. Yes, landscaping is certainly needed; that’s the next phase after stucco repair and painting is done. I like the large black flowerpots you added (as well as larger sconces and house numbers). We’ve been really stuck trying to think how to deal with the trim with the teratone windows. We were considering Benjamin Moore 1531 Victorian Garden for the main house color as it’s a neutral with a touch of green undertone. https://media.benjaminmoore.com/WebServices/prod/dollops/90x90/1531.png as the Driftwood roof also has some green tones.. Hi reh2087,We decided on Cloud White before we got your message however we did paint samples of White Dove and Simply White. Simply White looked a but harsh (as you mentioned it may) and a bit yellow. White Dove was too yellow so we went with Cloud White. I was hoping to avoid it as it is so common but it is a favorite for a reason I suppose! I posted a picture for you to see. We are happy with it and feel the white is so elegant and fresh. Naturally, it won't be maintenance free but I don't think it will be too difficult to keep clean once all the landscaping goes in. Time will tell.
